To contribute to the improvement of disability, health and welfare research by inviting superior foreign researchers to Japan, and thus promoting greater international research cooperation.
Researchers who are conducting superior research on subject areas covered by principal researchers under the Promotion Program for Comprehensive Research on Disability, Health and Welfare.
As a general rule, the researchers will be invited to Japan for a period of 14 days, sometime between April 1, 2005 and March 31, 2006. In cases for which this would be difficult, the applicants are asked to clearly write the reasons why on the appropriate section of the application form.
A. Posting Travel Expenses
Airfare, domestic transportation fees, lodging charges, per diem expenses, etc.
B. Living Expenses
JSRPD will pay appropriate living expenses, in accordance with our payment standards and within the range of our budget, giving due consideration to ensure that the amounts shall be sufficient for the researchers' living expenses.
C. Research Support Expenses
Funds will be provided to facilitate research efforts as necessary, within the range of our budget, giving consideration to the smooth progress of the research.
D. Overseas Travel Insurance
Foreign researchers are asked to take out travel insurance policies under their own responsibility; the insurance premiums will be borne by JSRPD.
1) Applicants must be principal researchers under the Promotion Program for Comprehensive Research on Disability, Health and Welfare.
2) Japanese host researchers (who host the foreign researchers) must be principal researchers or associate researchers.
3) Japanese host researchers must obtain the approval of the hosting institutefs director.
4) Applicants are responsible for procedures relating to the invitation of foreign researchers, such as acquiring visas.
¦@Note: Lodging for the foreign researchers during their stay in Japan is to be arranged by applicants.
Principal researchers who wish to invite foreign researchers (this includes the desires of their associate researchers) are asked to complete the prescribed application form and submit it to JSRPD by conventional mail or in person.
